A rather boring-ish portrait of a roleplaying character of mine. The bit I do like is the background. William here is head barkeep at a little pub operating out of a grounded whaling ship located in the bizarre city of Hanghorse - The Beached Whale be its name, yar. That'd be it yonder, mooning ye with its awkward rudder and cute, grinning whale sign.
Ye colours be too, too saturated for the time o' day, yarr, but I do like the water, aye. Yarrrrr.
Wow, that's really excellent! Amazing background and lighting (and I agree, his upper body doesn't quite match the saturation of the rest of the picture, but I kinda like the idea of him being picked out by a sunbeam, and it draws the eye to him), lovely relaxed pose and expression, and I love the idea of a bar in a beached whaling ship :>

Your backgrounds always floor me. How do you have the patience for them? I'd drive myself mad with this much detail. The water is especially gorgeous.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
